Do you want to explore new paths with your Mercedes ML off-road and ensure that your vehicle makes it back without technical defects? An unprotected fuel tank is one of the biggest risks during off-road tours. An unfortunate impact with a sharp rock can quickly end the journey.

Uncompromising Stability and Durability

This tank protection was developed for the highest demands and offers a massive barrier against external influences:

• Robust Construction: Made from 3 mm thick steel sheet, precisely cut by CNC laser and shaped on CNC press brakes.

• Maximum Rigidity: The plate is folded 90 degrees all around. This design enormously increases the inherent rigidity of the sheet metal and prevents bending upon ground contact.

• Excellent Corrosion Protection: Since the tank area is constantly exposed to dirt and moisture, the entire protective plate is galvanized. This guarantees long-lasting protection against rust.

Assembly & Safety

To securely protect the heavy tank, this underbody protection relies on an extremely stable connection to the vehicle:

• 12-Point Fastening: The protection is bolted at a total of 12 points to ensure even force distribution in the event of impacts.

• Installation: For installation, drilling 8 holes (Ø 8 mm) for rivet nuts is required. This ensures a permanently firm and professional connection to the body/frame.

• DIY-Ready: With standard tools, a rivet nut tool, and a helping hand, installation is easily manageable. The complete mounting kit is included.

• Production Time: If the product is not directly available from stock, we will manufacture it to order – the delivery time in this case is approx. 8 weeks.

• System Addition: This protection is the perfect addition to our engine and transmission skid plates (not included) to completely armor the underbody of your ML.
