The rear differential is one of the lowest and thus most vulnerable parts of your car. An unfortunate impact with a stone can damage the housing and immediately end your journey.

Massive Armor for the Drivetrain

This protection was specially developed to safeguard the sensitive rear axle differential from mechanical damage caused by stones, rocks, or ground contact:

• Robust Construction: Made from 3 mm thick steel sheet, precisely cut by CNC laser and formed on CNC press brakes.

• High Rigidity: The plate is folded 90 degrees all around. This construction significantly increases the inherent rigidity of the steel and ensures that the protective plate retains its shape and absorbs energy even during hard impacts.

• Excellent Corrosion Protection: Since the differential is constantly exposed to splash water and mud, the entire protective plate is galvanized. This guarantees a long service life and lasting protection against rust.

Easy Installation – Plug & Play

Installation is straightforward and requires no complex modifications to the vehicle:

• Stable Fastening: The protection is securely attached to the underbody or axle body with a total of 4 screws via special mounting elements.

• DIY-Friendly: For installation, you only need standard tools and a little time. The complete mounting kit, including instructions, is included.

• System Extension: This protection is the ideal addition to our other components (engine, transmission, fuel tank, and air suspension tank protection) to elevate the off-road capability of your ML W164 to a professional level. (Not included in delivery.)
