The MorE 4x4 Aluminum Engine Skid Plate for the Daihatsu Terios 1 (J100 Series) (suitable for all model years from 1997 to 2005) provides high-strength, extensive protection for the most important mechanical components at the front of the vehicle: the engine (including the oil pan) and the adjacent components of the front undercarriage.

Despite its compact dimensions, the Daihatsu Terios 1 is an amazingly nimble companion in light off-road terrain, in the forest, or during winter service, thanks to its permanent all-wheel drive and short overhangs. However, due to its design, the vehicle has less ground clearance than large off-roaders, placing the engine oil pan extremely low and unprotected in the potential impact area. An inattentive impact on sharp-edged rocks, hidden tree stumps, hard ice clumps, or bottoming out in deep ruts can immediately tear open the oil pan – leading to acute oil loss and catastrophic engine damage.

This vehicle-specific underbody protection perfectly closes this critical safety gap. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, this skid plate can be mounted completely independently and separately, without the need to install the remaining plates of the underbody system. In this version, it is precisely designed for installation under the original factory front bumper.
